The goal with this car, according to the head of Acura’s Advanced Design Studio, Dave Marek, was to create an ultra-luxury sedan to compete with Bentley and Maybach in the year 2020. Advanced Sedan Concept does have a few cool details incorporated into it. The slices in the sheetmetal that house the headlights double as air intakes for the fictional engine, and the Acura emblem on the MDX-style grille is cut from crystal. Like that wouldn’t get stolen as soon as the car was parked, and the suicide rear doors allow both front and rear door handles to be incorporated into a single design element, which gets the Acura name stamped into it.
